If you are an Emirate resident and Japan has been a destination you have wanted to visit for a long time, good news, you can get an e-visa for a period of 90 days.
The e-visa was introduced in March 2023 and allows residents of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to obtain a visa online on the official platform www.visa.mofa.go.jp.
Make sure you have an Emirates ID, a residence visa and a valid passport.
Who is also subject to this measure?
According to the information on the official Japan e-visas website, residents of the following countries can also obtain a visa online:
- Brazil
- Cambodia
- Canada
- Mongolia
- Singapore
- South Africa
- Taiwan
- UK
- United States
There are 69 countries whose residents do not need a visa to visit Japan for a period of 90 days. The majority of European countries are part of it.
